Why Join a Guild?
That’s a great question. First, a bit about who we are and what we do at Arts Burlington.
Arts Burlington is composed of six guilds and associations, all of whom are actively seeking members — from those just starting their journey, to the most seasoned artist or craftsperson. Each guild meets frequently throughout the year, both for “formal” meetings as well as studio-time or exchange and development of ideas and skills.
Guild members have access to facilities and equipment at the Art Gallery of Burlington and may enjoy discounts at certain related shops and services.
Where Do I Start?
That’s all up to you. We think the best way to start is to visit the guild you’d like to join. Information about the guild (or guilds, no need to limit yourself to one!) can be found on its respective page on our site. Guild meetings (including formal and informal meetings, open studio etc) can all be found on our Events & Meetings Calendar. Some meetings are open to the public and welcome non-members, while others are open only to Guild members. Get in touch with a representative of a Guild before visiting, in order to arrange a visit to the studio. Please note that in order to be a member of any guild, you also have to be a member of the Art Gallery of Burlington.
